We’re invested in making driving experiences for HGV drivers better and, that’s why, we’ve invested six figures to improve facilities at Tibshelf Northbound.
Located on the M1 between Junction 28 and 29, the site has seen the expansion of its lorry and HGV parking facilities. The addition of 49 new spaces takes up to a whopping 103 spaces available - more than double the nearest motorway services on the M1.

With the increase in available HGV parking, our team has worked to do much more to make the overall parking experience the best possible for Britain’s hardest-working motorists.
Increased security fencing ensures that loads - from apples to yoghurts and everything in between - are safe 24/7 whilst accompanying monitored thermal CCTV cameras to protect you all year round.
Whilst safety for HGVs and their cargo has been improved, we’ve made the walk to our main amenity building safer for you. Improved and additional lighting along paths and key walking routes ensures that you can see where you’re heading and fellow HGV drivers can see you.
Our external improvements are completed by a newly-commissioned truck wash to make sure that, whilst our new showers can make sure you look your best, your HGV can remain spick, span and sparkling new.
Our main amenity building at Tibshelf Northbound hasn’t been left out and has had improvements too.
Alongside a 24/7 McDonald’s, Britain’s favourite coffee shop - Costa Coffee, Italian food experts, Coco di Mama, Fresh Food Cafe, WHSmith and SPAR, we’ve improved our six shower units.
A fresh new look, featuring damp-repelling wall and floor cladding, guarantees a home-away-from-home experience whilst improved showers and more hooks mean you can freshen up on the go before settling down in your cab.
The improvements to Tibshelf Northbound follows Roadchef's seven-figure investment at Annandale Water and Strensham Northbound in 2024, ensuring that HGV Drivers experience best-in-class facilities wherever they are in the United Kingdom

Whilst Roadchef Tibshelf Northbound has been overhauled and renovated, Roadchef continues to reward drivers across the country with its loyalty programme for HGV drivers, the Truck Masters’ Club.
