Super September At Roadchef

With the sun firmly back behind the clouds and those motorway journeys now taking place in either wind or rain, it seems like the perfect excuse to break up that long journey with a rest stop at one of our 30 services.

This September, there’s so much happening that we’d hate you to miss out during those journeys north on the M1, south on the M6 or west on the M4.

New McDonald’s Menu

The September McDonald’s menu might be our new favourite; despite the fact we’re losing the side-dish of the summer Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers.

It really is a case of ‘the best thing comes in pairs’ this Autumn.

Look out for the Big Mac’s not-so-little brother, the Chicken Big Mac. Two chicken patties are partnered with cheese, lettuce and the iconic Big Mac sauce.

For those looking for beef, the Philly Cheese Stack has a pair of beef patties with two types of onions - crispy and grilled -, cheese and pickles. The perfect autumnal burger if you ask us!

Continuing on that theme, sweet tooths will enjoy the ultimate two-fingered chocolate bar combo. Check out the Twix Latte and the Twix McFlurry.

Wrapping up the new menu is McDonald’s annual sign that winter is on the way - the meltingly-good mozzarella dippers.

A Lucky Katsu box from LEON, available from Roadchef

Five-star food for two decades

It’s not just ‘the golden arches’ with a whole host of new dishes, our favourite go-to Mediterranean food option celebrates two decades of serving those on the hunt for something healthy to beat their hunger with a whole host of new items for lunchtimes, teatimes and everything in between.

Some of LEON’s most popular dishes over the last twenty years are back to fill drivers' hearts with nostalgia and fill their hungry tummies before their journey continues.

Look out for the gluten-free Lucky Katsu curry; combining GFC nuggets with a spicy Katsu sauce.

There’s also the addition of new favourites guaranteed to live long on the menu; the Chicken Caesar Burger, loaded Korean Kimchi Fries and the honeycomb latte are guaranteed to bring a smile to faces at all of our eleven LEON restaurants.

A Maple Hazel Frappe from Costa Coffee, standing on a wooden board. Available from Costa Coffee at Roadchef

Autumn in season at Costa Coffee

We know when September has arrived because the Maple Hazel range is back at Costa Coffee.

When you’re taking a very demure, very mindful moment to break up your journey, you’ll be able to refresh and recharge with four choices of autumnal joy to choose from.

For those looking for something cooler, the Maple Hazel Frappe or Iced Latte will help temperatures drop and joy soar whilst the Maple Hazel Latte or Hot Chocolate are ensuring things are hotting up.

Leading the EV revolution

As the leaves begin to fall and September turns to October, our Director of EV Implementation, Paul Comer, will be speaking at the EV Infrastructure and Energy Summit - sharing how we’re planning for the future of road travel and how Roadchef are investing in green journeys.

He’ll be talking about how, since the start of 2023, we’ve installed over 90 high-powered chargers across the UK at our 30 sites and how we’re accelerating the roll-out of chargers with our partners at GRIDSERVE.
