Water

Over 80% of our visitors take a toilet break during their visit to any of our 30 Roadchef sites. It's probably our number one reason road users choose to stop!

We continue to make concerted efforts to reduce our water usage and ensure that, where possible, we can collect rainwater to save water.

How we're going to reduce our water usage

Our company is committed to reducing water consumption through innovative and efficient technologies. We are replacing gas heating systems with heat pump technology to provide hot water, significantly cutting both water and energy use.

Additionally, we are installing water-efficient measures such as low-flow showerheads and taps across all our hotels to minimise water waste.

These upgrades and ongoing efforts to monitor and optimise water use demonstrate our dedication to sustainability and efficient resource management. Through these initiatives, we aim to substantially lower our overall water consumption and promote a more sustainable future.

Waterless urinals

Waterless urinals

We've fitted 490 waterless urinal across our 30 male washrooms, reducing water usage whilst continuing to ensure a clean and efficient toilet experience.

Sinks and taps

Sinks and taps

Water-efficient sinks ensure that taps can't be left running when they're not in use, whilst guaranteeing people can still wash their hands.
